6x6 Sudoku

Free 6×6 Sudoku puzzles with numbers 1–6 and 2×3 boxes. A great step up from 4×4 for kids aged 8–10 and new players.

6×6 Sudoku is the bridge between tiny picture puzzles and the full 9×9 game. Each row and column holds the numbers 1 to 6 once, and the grid is split into six boxes of two rows by three columns.

It's a great size for children aged 8 to 10 and for adults who want to learn the rules without a big grid. All the same strategies work, just on a smaller scale, so it's an excellent way to practise singles before moving up.

How it works: every PuzzleCraft Sudoku is built from scratch by a generator that fills a complete 9×9 grid and then removes numbers one at a time, checking with a solver after every removal that exactly one solution remains. You will never get a puzzle that needs guessing or has two answers.
