How it works: each puzzle is a real quote written in a simple substitution code. Every letter is swapped for a different letter, and the swap stays the same all the way through, so if G stands for E once, it stands for E everywhere. No letter ever stands for itself. Tap a coded letter, type your guess, and it fills in everywhere that letter appears.
Difficulty follows the week: Monday and Tuesday are Easy, Wednesday through Friday and Sunday are Medium, and the weekend brings a Hard puzzle on Saturday. Missed one? The archive below has the last 30 days.
Stuck? Hints come in steps. The first points you to a good place to start, like a one-letter word. The second names a common letter to try. The third fills in one letter for you, and you can reveal the whole quote if you need to. Hints used show on your results card.
