How it works: each puzzle is a real quote written in a simple substitution code. Every letter is swapped for a different letter, and the swap stays the same all the way through, so if G stands for E once, it stands for E everywhere. No letter ever stands for itself. Tap a coded letter, type your guess, and it fills in everywhere that letter appears.

Choose from eight quote packs: Inspirational, Funny, Bible Verses, Proverbs, Famous Authors, Love, Success and Holiday. Each new puzzle uses a fresh code, so even a quote you've seen before is a new challenge.

Stuck? Hints come in steps. The first points you to a good place to start, like a one-letter word. The second names a common letter to try. The third fills in one letter for you, and you can reveal the whole quote if you need to. Hints used show on your results card.

Every cryptogram prints or saves as a PDF with the answer key on a separate page. Tick Large Print for bigger letters and spaces.
